My ancestor, David Gregg, lived near this village and emigrated to America in about the year 1720. Through him my family ancestry connects to the 'Troubles' in Northern Ireland as well as the founding of the American nation.

The political and religious divisions in Belfast, exemplified by this Loyalist mural, seem like relics of the past. Belfast is a youthful city, and 20 year-olds there seem much like average 20 year-olds here. It is almost inconceivable to imagine them involved in the violence that was so common only a decade ago.
